Health & Wellness Coach | Speaker |
Hi, I’m Karen
I’ve spent 33 years as a well-respected tax attorney, including more than 2 decades as a partner at a Big 4 accounting firm. You may wonder, then, why I’ve decided to spend my retirement as a health and wellness coach.
It’s a valid question! During my years as a busy professional, my health often (read: almost always) took the back burner to business success. And as I’ve talked with other women in corporate America, it has become clear that my story is not unique. When you’re juggling so much, it can be all-too-easy to prioritize other things over your own health!
Still, I’ve found that most of us share the goal of changing that habit. Over the years, I’ve become certified as a Precision Nutrition Coach with a specialist certification in dietary strategies, using what I learned to completely transform my health: I lost 52 pounds, lowered my dangerously high blood pressure, and gained loads of energy and confidence, all by incorporating small habits into my busy lifestyle. Now, as the founder of Living Well Now, I’m on a mission to help other busy professionals do the same!
Because Good Health Doesn’t
Have to be Complicated.
When I was in the thick of my career, I told myself the story that having good health was complicated and involved copious amounts of sacrifice and stringent self-discipline. I would attempt to follow diet after diet, never seeing lasting success. I would try to out-exercise poor nutrition choices. I would wish for the ability to “outsource” my health the way I did other business tasks, and I’d often think to myself: You’re a smart person, Karen, why can’t you figure this out already?!
The fact is, I never had the tools or support to make true wellness a reality. Prioritizing your health does not have to be complicated, but without the needed information and guidance it can certainly feel that way.
Nowadays, I’m passionate about helping other high-performing women take back control of their health, so they can truly live their best lives. Through nutrition, movement, and mindset, I help clients identify and break down barriers that have been holding them back from prioritizing their health. I’m all about using small habits to create long-term, lifestyle changes that allow you to enjoy your life to its fullest.
